Things Are Looking Up

Taking a break from school.  Crunching numbers and looking for jobs in Alaska or British Columbia.  Looking for a good school to take several German classes online when the time comes.  Adopted an awesome little mutt to keep me company on my journeys.  Saving money for some elaborate camping/hiking trips.  Considering a short trip to Europe.  Blown away at the support and encouragement I have received.

Baby steps. I don't have far to go.

  1. British Columbia is so beautiful man, if you went there you would love it. BC has some issues that im not sure if Alaska has. For starters, its going to be hard to find a job there. If you moved to Vancouver thats a different story, but that isnt very remote cause Vancouver is a big city. Something else that might slow you up moving to BC is Canada itself. As much as we joke, Canada IS a different country. Its going to be hard for you to work/become legally able to work there because they already have plenty of uneducated white boys (no offense). Maybe some things have changed sense I have been there (9 years), who knows. If you are just dying to go to BC, find a job at a dock till you get legal. The pay will suck, but they could keep you off the books and pay you in drugs or fish or whatever they have a lot of (this actually happened to a friend of mine). Ive got some connections on vancouver island, just let me know. Hmm....how about Alaska?
